Bringing The Heat!

The Bringin' Da Heat Contest Is Back for the 15th Annual Swinger's Ball! Couples will register as such, dance in multiple heats and hopefully bring home one final prize of $500.00! Anything Goes!

The registration fee is $25.00 per couple and early registration is highly encouraged. Early registration will end on March 17, 2012. All registrations must be postmarked by then. Late registrations will only be accepted the night of the Swinger's Ball and they must be paid with exact change (no checks) and a completely filled out registration form. Late registration for the contest will be $35.00. If you enter the contest, you need to be at the event by 9:00 PM. If you are registering late for the event you need to be there at 8:30 PM.

Bringing The Heat Dance Contest will run as follows…......

Couples will dance an “All Skate” to a "Blues" selection. Judges will make their rounds and mark their sheets. After the “All Skate” each couple will dance two phrases to an intermediate tempo in a spotlight appearance. Couples will then be judged and either passed on to the next round of competition or finished for the evening.

The final journey will begin with a an all-Skate to a faster tempo and then a spotlight for each finalist. The first leg of the contest with “ALL” contestants will run during the first band break starting at 9:15. Contestants should be registered and numbered and ready to go at this time. The finalists should be prepared and ready to go at 11:00 PM.

I need 10 couples to make this contest a reality and right now I only have four. I will not run it without ten and that’s that! This is a “just dance contest”, no choreography, no rules and anything goes! You must execute a very obvious amount of Lindy content (if a judge has to think too hard about whether or not you executed a reasonable amount of this content then you might not have). May the best dancer on this night win!
